Welcome to the Woodland Area Democratic Club

Thank you for visiting our new website site. We are looking forward to a great campaign year in 2008. We support Democratic candidates from our local, state and national levels as we work toward making our Democratic values a reality.

Our vision for change at all levels of government includes the following values and principles. We demand honest leadership and open government that will be as good as the people it serves. The leaders we seek to have elected will provide  real security by protecting us at home and telling the truth to our troops, our citizens and our allies. We seek energy independence balanced with environmental sustainability.

We believe that we can, as a nation, return to economic prosperity and educational excellence for all Americans. We support candidates who will work to create jobs that will stay in America by restoring opportunity and driving innovation. A basic value for our Democratic party is a health care system that works for everyone. All Americans should have access to affordable healthcare.

As Democrats we value a retirement that provides both security and dignity. Every single American should be able to trust that their years of work should bring the right and expectation that they could look to secure retirement. We also believe that our members of the military should have only the best of care, if they are wounded either physically or mentally.  They deserve  respect and  support  that is supported by action and not empty words.

If these values appear close to your own, come join the Woodland Area Democratic Club. We offer a way to organize and work together to make these values evident in our town of Woodland, in Yolo County and in our state of California as well as our nation.
